RELIGION AND DISABILITY COUNCIL

The Religion and Disability Council supports the work of all faith groups in pursuit of promoting and practicing inclusion of persons with disabilities. The Council accomplishes this mission by:

• providing advice, consultation and support to the faith community in promoting accessiblity, acceptance and involvement of persons with disabilities
• serving as a resource center to assist faith groups with identifying resources about disability ministries
• providing direction and support to faith groups who are beginning new ministries and desire to learn from the experiences of others
• sponsoring community education events

The Religion and Disability Council works in partnership with Interfaith Mission Service -- people and communities of faith serving together to promote religious, racial and cultural harmony, respond to human needs, and to facilitate communication within the community.
